CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

YogaWithLora (Foundations) - This semi-private foundational class offers the beginning yoga student an uplifting, yet challenging environment in which to learn the basics of the classic yoga postures/asanas, breathing techniques/pranayamas and centering meditations, that make up a well rounded yoga practice. Much individual attention is given to each student, so that they feel confident in their own body's progress. This class is appropriate for the individual who has little to no experience with Yoga, or the student who is looking to brush up on their techniques. Students are welcomed to remain in this class for as long as they wish, but they are encouraged to move toward a mixed level practice when ready.

Yoga for Everybody (Mixed Level)
Everybody classes are for everyone, including beginners. The teaching style is adapted for those in attendance. When beginners are present the detail of instruction is more pronounced, allowing new students to easily follow the class. Typically, this is a moderately paced class which emphasizes focused breathing and a mindful awareness of your body. This emphasis makes this class a joyful, meditative exploration of yourself in the present moment. Students find this class relaxing and revitalizing.

Vinyasa Yoga - Hot Room Yoga in the Vinyasa Style
Emphasizes a continuous flow of movement using sun salutations, dynamic breathing and long holdings. Each part of the body (inside and out) is explored and worked in a deep and mindful way. This practice builds strength, tones and detoxifies. Vinyasa is a fun and creative practice requiring focus and dedication. This class moves at a quick pace; therefore, some Yoga experience is helpful prior to starting this class. This type of Hot Room Yoga is physically challenging and athletic. A moderate level of fitness is recommended. If you have specific health issues or injuries, you should consult your physician and the teacher before engaging in these classes.

Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in forty-five exhilarating minutes of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!


WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS

Christian Yoga - Deepen your relationship with your faith as you deepen your relationship with yourself. Appropriate for any denomination. Christian Yoga is peppered with words of faith that are aimed to inspire the student to join together their physical, emotional and spiritual selves. Held either as a 4-week series or an individual workshop, this practice can enrich the lives of your congregation and clergy alike by inspiring them in new and different ways to connect with God.

Yoga for the Equestrian - Be inspired in the saddle. Yoga for the Equestrian is a mixed level workshop in the Hatha yoga style aimed at the common areas of complaint for the rider. This workshop invites the students to focus their attention on alignment within the postures to facilitate healing and improvement including, but not limited to, the areas of the hips, lower back, shoulders and balance. Appropriate for any level.

Wellness at Work - Gain the most from your employees by equipping them with the tools they need to cope with work-related stress. Presented as a four part series, with each segment being 45 minutes long, Lora will teach your employees how to reduce work-day fatigue, anxiety and stress while increasing productivity, creativity and wellness. This workshop is perfect for any high anxiety careers such as sales, medicine, law or teaching.

Zumba® Fitness Dance Parties! - Get your friends together for some EXERCISE IN DISGUISE! Host a Dance Party, either at Lora's Johnston studio, your home, or your venue of choice. Enjoy 60 minutes of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring FUN while you get your groove on to easy to follow moves inspired by Latin and international rhythms. A better-for-you Girls Night OUT, Teen/Tween birthday party, or office party. Pricing available upon request.


PRICES

YogaWithLora (Johnston)
New student special: First three classes ONLY $25!
Drop-in rate: $15 per one and a half hour class.

Value Rate - Yoga (Johnston)
$12 per class with a 6-pack class card purchase.
Must be used within an 8 week period. Cards are non-transferable.

Student/Senior Rate - Yoga (Johnston)
$10/class with valid college id, under 18 or over 65.

Zumba® (Johnston)
35 per four-week session.

Private Instruction
$30-45 per half hour of instruction, range based upon therapy provided.
Up to two people per session of private instruction.

Event Rate
From $75 per one and half hour class.
$75 for the first seven people, $10  for each person thereafter.
PERFECT for a party, Country Club or Corporate event.

Classes held at the One Center/HHP Fitness Zone/Foster Recreation Department are subject to that individual center's prices.
